Why sports medicine staff choose Valor

Objective Criteria at Every Stage of Rehab

On-Field Capture

Assess sprinting, cutting, and sport-specific movement where it happens, not just controlled gym screens. One phone, no rig, no lab.

Return-to-Play Criteria You Can Defend

Side-to-side comparisons and asymmetry flags against the athlete's own baseline turn clearance conversations into data reviews.

Reports the Whole Staff Can Read

Generate instant athlete reports and share them with team physicians, coaches, and performance staff in minutes.

FAQ

Sports Medicine Questions, Answered

What is Valor Vision for sports medicine?

Valor Vision is a markerless 3D motion analysis platform. Athletic trainers, team physicians, and rehab staff use it to capture an athlete's movement with a single iPhone or iPad and get objective joint metrics, movement scores, and asymmetry flags in minutes, from injury onset through return to play.

Can I assess athletes on the field instead of in a gym or lab?

Yes. Valor Vision captures sport-specific movements like sprinting and cutting on the field, the pitch, or the sideline, so return-to-play evaluations reflect the movements athletes actually return to, not just controlled gym screens.

How does it support return-to-play decisions?

Valor Vision gives you an objective baseline, side-to-side comparisons, and asymmetry flags at every stage of rehab. You can track an athlete against their own pre-injury data and document progress in shareable reports for physicians and coaches.

Do I need a lab or special hardware?

No. Valor Vision runs on the iPhone or iPad you already own, with no markers or rig. For higher-fidelity capture there is an optional validated Valor IMU wearable, and the camera and IMU modalities can be fused.

Is the measurement validated?

Yes. The Valor IMU system was validated against Vicon optical motion capture in a peer-reviewed study (Sensors, 2024, DOI 10.3390/s24175833), and the platform reports joint-angle accuracy of plus or minus 3.5 degrees.
